This year’s observance of Earth Day, the largest civic observance across the globe, had come and gone, however, our work is far from over.
Kathleen Rogers, president of EarthDay.org, had called for more than just talk, but action. With this global day of remembering our planet, new energy across environment movements had been garnered, but as Rogers said, that momentum needs to keep going.
With conversations about Restoring Our Earth, the theme for 2021’s Earth Day, the call is to keep demanding action from the world’s leaders and nowhere is more impact being made than at grassroots level.
Rogers had called for governments and corporations to commit to sustainable practices, not by 2040 or even 2030, but immediately. “We call for universal climate literacy for school kids worldwide. We must transform our farming industry to work for the planet rather than against it,” she said.

Help us fight for our future,” – Katleen Rogers, President
